Miracle

"Miracle"
Jordann Gibson
I had a hard time understanding Caputo at first. I had to read this more than twice to get a grasp on what she was trying to say. As humans there are so many things we wish we could forget or remember. Caputo made a point that art is striving to remember vividly and able to describe with detail so others can see. Art is a reconstruction of our lost memories that we try to revive. I think this is one point she was trying to make. Life is unpredictable, and we have no way of knowing what it will bring us. We have no control over what memories we obtain or forget. The picture below was interesting to me because as children we walk though life exploring, learning, and asking "why"? As we grow we forget event that have happened to us as a child. have you ever wondered why there are specific things that a triggered from your child hood? There are just random things you remember and for some reason do not? I think that Caputo was trying to say that is is art that holds these memories for us. Colors, pictures, and smells remind us of certain events, whethere we want those memories or not.
