Amanda Knudsen's Reaction Paper 3

“If you were running a photography contest, at what point would you draw the line and say ‘That's not photography anymore?’”
With technology these days, the possibilities are endless with what you can do with a photograph. It is really hard to distinguish where the line is when it comes to photography and rules. With a photography contest, I would put the line around where you can only have a picture of what you took naturally. With editing, the rules would be to only adjust brightness and contrast of the photo.I don't think it's right to hold a photography contest and have the photos completly cut up and pieced back together. From that point, it would be a photoshopping contest. Photography is all about what you can do with taking pictures, not about how good you are with editing them. Photography should be a natural talent, not cut up and pieced together by technology.
