Where do you draw the line if you were judging a photography contest?
Jennifer Huhn

The examples mentioned as winners in the article consisted of a motorcycle being driven and a tornado as one, and a lighthouse and birds flying in perfect alignment as another. To me both of these sound ridiculous. Why would anyone drive a motorcycle in a tornado? Have you ever seen birds flying in perfect alignment by a lighthouse? Both of these seem unnatural. I've never seen anyone riding a motorcycle in a tornado or birds flying in perfect alignment. The likelihood of these two moments being captured in time is almost nonexistent. Even though both of these appear to be photographs they do not constitute as a photograph. If I was judging a photography contest these would have been left out or put into a different category or put into a different contest. To be considered as a photograph it has to be natural, meaning that someone somewhere sometime could be seeing the same thing with their eyes.
