When is too far, too far??

When I think of a photograph being too far edited, I would for sure think of the examples noted in the article. When have you ever seen a motorcyclist being chased by a tornado? I know that I have never seen that before, but then again I have never seen a real tornado!
If I were in charge of a photo contest, I personally would say that only edits to adjust the color would be considered. I think that editing the colors photos doesn't really change the photo, even black and white or sepia would be considered. I think that chaninging the colrs really add or plain just make the photo and at the same time they really do not change the photo. When a person starts adding or subtracting things from a photo, is when a photo has been edited too far. I do think though that it would be still the photo if you crop around the photo. If a photo has to be added to or have something removed this is changing the whole photo and taking away from why the photographer took the photo in the first place. My thought is, the photo is the photo.
