Kelli Maag Tattoo Artist/Photographer
Kelli has been doing tattooing since 1995. She owns and operates a well established and highly respected tattoo parlor. She also won several awards for her tattoo work though out her years of tattooing. Kelli is a United States citizen, born and raised in Mora, Minnesota, She is a female artist born in 1972, and has two other co-workers in her tattoo shop. Terri does all the piercings of body art and Karri gets you comfortable for the art section. Kelli has a great atmosphere, comfortable art area so she can start her art work on you. She talks about all aspects of tattooing art on the body. Kelli and I have several things in common, Tattoos of all kinds of art on the body. Tattooing is a different kind of photography it is art work drawn by hand on the body from a licensed artist and is permanent, but can be adjusted just like photography pictures, but not easily to take away like you can in photo shop, it takes more work and materials’ to makes any changes to the art designs. This is very time consuming and cost a lot of money to remove then it would with a picture in Photoshop. Tattooing consists of all kinds of photography for instants cartoon caricatures, wildlife, nature, family, cars, pets, symbols and anything you can come up with.

Kelli doesn’t just do tattooing she is a photographer also. She likes taking pictures of landscaping, waterfalls, color leafs on trees, trees in general, and sun sets. Kelli has great ideas in her landscaping pictures very nicely colored and perfect settings. I also like taking landscaping pictures they’re colorful and you can change them to different color styles depends on the setting you’re looking for, every landscaping picture is different and has beautifully different meanings to them. The sun set with the barn. I found that landscape pictures and tattoos are similar because you can use some of the landscaping pieces for tattooing like the sun, flowers, leafs. The other setting I really like is what she calls Fauna, pictures of wild life and animals, birds, insects, and house pets. Some of these pictures were changed up and look wonderful. The back ground was changed to a gray to match the subject of the big black bear very nice work. The puppy and kitty was lightened like we learned in class. She really did some change ups ideas with her animal pictures, she did some color changing so it had a different setting to the picture. She captured some bears of different setting like lying in a tree, sun bathing, and just running around there are also pictures of the smallest insects you could fine a bright red lady bug on a dark green leaf. I really enjoyed the research on Kelli, I really thought it was just going to be on tattoos but when I dug deeper I found she was a great photographer with lots of nice pictures.
