I really liked Melissa Ann Pinney's work. These photos truly captured the moment. In her White Dress Project, the girls looked so elegant. I also liked the way she used natural light by placing her subjects near the window for the indoor photos. In Girls Ascending, all of her subjects were placed where the fun is or had just been. You could see that each girl was or had just been enjoying some sort of activity. In Melissa's Cellar Door Series, it was really neat to see all the changes take place; the changing of seasons and growth of the greenery around the edges of the photos, to the girl growing, to the cellar door showing wear and tear and being replaced.
