I decided to do my photographer reaction paper on a photographer named David Bowman. David Bowman did a large portion of his work at the state fair. Most of his photographs were also taken at night, using a slow shutter speed, so that a lot of the photographs were blurred. My favorite pair of images was the ones with the green “egg scrambler” ride. one of the photographs was just a still snapshot of the ride about to take off, and in the next photograph that he took, it was blurred and looks really good. I think that he also must have adjusted some of the color levels in the program photo shop too. The colors all seem really nice and vibrant.
One of the other themes was about all of the various lakes that are around Minnesota. Most of the pictures in this set have to do with the beaches on a cool looking rainy day in northern Minnesota. The colors in almost all of these photographs are very vibrant as well, having a wide variety of places and it appears like the photographs were taken at different lakes.
Finally, there is a set on the Florida Keys. I am not exactly sure what this is, but it appears to be about a long bridge that streaches out a good distance over the ocean. I wish that there would have been more information available so that I could learn more about these beautiful places. All together, the photographer seems like he knows his way around the camera and is a very talented and artistic person.
