This girl from Wisconsin gives such a deep, warm quality to her photographs. The two following photographs are some of my favortie photos of her gallery. She makes her pictures give you a different perspective on the way things are viewed in everyday life. She embraces the akwardness of flaws, and she makes them appear beautiful and unique in thier own way.

Reaction Paper 7 by Amanda Knudsen
The photographer that caught my eye was Leslie Ostrander. The following picture was what caught my eye while browsing through the photographers' pieces of work. This photo has such an extreme contrast of angelic white and sharp blacks. This picture has such beautiful rich textures and nice focus.

I think her photos have great texture. But I often wondered what I was looking at. She photographs odd things, and so upclose. I really liked the "the hanging" photo and also the "one wayside" photo. She definately makes you think.

ReplyDeleteHer photos are unique and it is nice to see someone appriciate the beauty of such things. These are the type of photos that draw you in and make you think about what you are looking at.
ReplyDeleteShe does unique work. The texture in some is so apparent, I like that.
ReplyDeleteI didnt run into this photographer. I wish I had because I perhaps would of changed my reaction paper critique on her. From these three photos i see that she likes to get very close to things. This brings out great detail. good pick.
