I really like how she focused on one subject “Young girls to Older woman”, “The cellar Doors” How it was the same girl, same place, but different seasons and dressed for each season. This other one picture with the teen age girls from different culture and are different sizes, this shows that not every girl is the same age. They all have different styles. The pictures of the kids playing outside; like the girl balancing on the on the tree log really goes together with the landscaping of the trees behind her. And the little girl having fun playing in the water hose staying cool on nice warm summer day and the two little kids playing in the water puddle again with a nice set of trees in the background. A lot of her pictures have to do with water as well as females and trees.
As time goes on, the older we get and things change in are live going from being a little girl to adult hood. Going from playing in the water hose, water puddle, swimming with dolls to “WOW” marriage, getting ready for a big change in life and have a family of your own, to watch grow and see them do all the things you did in life growing up. As you watch your little ones grow and remember the memories of your childhood comparing to what just seem like yesterday, we were a child. She also show of elderly women out in the water too, she’s not just focusing on young women; elderly women can go out in the water and have fun too.
The white dress series: The focus for this is the white dress with different girls, size, age, color. I like that there was different poses that still focused on the white dress and still on young girls in America and also still had the trees for some of the backing landscape a long with the girls having different styles of the white dresses.
The little girl looking in the mirror make you wonder what she’s thinking, this picture could tell you lots of thing, like is my hair messy, worried about how she looks or is it a capture of her washing her hands, It’s really neat how you come across pictures could have so many meanings depends on how you look at it.
Regarding Emma, These picture settings I thought was rather confusing. I couldn’t follow the pictures of who was who or what she was trying to say about Emma, if she was the little girl going threw to adulthood, but yet there was different girls of another culture in the grouping and then the pregnant women in the picture or if she was the elderly lady at the end of the pictures. I really like all her pictures and how she did her subject settings with more than just the one, she put different situations with her subject and shows that she doesn’t just stick to one culture she capture different culture a women.
The picture with the girl looking in the mirror does make you wonder what she is thinking. I know for many girls appearance means a lot. It is actually sad to see and hear how much younger girls are really concerned about these things from when I was young.
