Brian Gardner really stuck out to me. I think his pictures is breath taking. I really like how he takes landscapes from around Minnesota and turns it into artwork. I like how he does this because having lived in Minnesota I have seen manyof these things, but have not seen them in such a unique way that makes them stick out. For example the Lift Bridge in Duluth looks absolutely amazing in the picture. I went to Duluth this summer and I walked over the bridge and have driven over the bridge many time before, but I have never found it to be as great as how this picutre captures it. I think he made me see that the simple architetruial things in Minnesota are not something to take for granted and are actually very beautiful.Also another amazing picture that I believe he took was the St. Paul Lighting. Haven Caught the Lightening really makes the picture. Also the black and white works very well. He is a very good black and white photographer. He knows when it is right to use it and when the picture would look better in color and he is very good at both types. Also his photoshopping skills are very good. He can take a picutre and totally change the dynamic of it by using his photoshop. He is very good at making nautre and buildings look very beautiful.
You are right! I have also seen this bridge in Duluth, but it didn't look anything like this photograph when I saw it. This is a beautiful taken photograph. It's amazing how photographers can make things look so different.
ReplyDeleteIf you liked this photo-- take a trip to Duluth during winter. They cover the bridge in Christmas lights and if you look at it from Spirit Mountain or skyline drive by Proctor...it is amazing. They also light up the other 2 bridges that take you to WI. You will not see anything prettier!
ReplyDeleteIt is very neat to be able to see photographs of places you have seen but you have never looked at them in the way that photographers can capture them. It is obvious that Brian Gardner is one that definitely knows how to do this.
