I think I have come a long way in capturing images. From the first project I used the picture of my two daughter's to compare. When I look at this photo I can see many changes that I would do today. First the lighting is off. I would lighten the front of the picture and the shadow and darken the school building. I would also get a different angle. I would off center the Destiney and Faith and capture the full height of the school building. I would also enhance the color in a different way. I would use a more soft color to enhance it with.
My second photo is from my project 3. I chose this picture because it shows the strength I have gained in capturing an image. I took this photo off-centered and captured detail in the water. I also adjusted the lighting to make the top of the fall stand out and shine in contrast to the flow. I think the text did a good job guiding me through the tools used to make the adjustment, along with the tutorials posted on the course site. The reaction papers were also helpful to see other artists views and styles. It was nice to compare and contrast them throughout the course.
My favorite photographer that I have been introduced to in this class is Kevin Synder. His work is amazing and shows real beauty. I like his technique and the places and things he captures. His work inspired me to go beyond what I think I am capable of.
From this point, I think I will bring all the tools used in photoshope and the technique used by other photographers viewed in this class to further my ability to create photos. I think I will use much of what I learned to photograph pictures of my family and landscape photos to place in my home. I think I still have a lot to learn and plan to gain more experience through experimenting with my camera.
I really like both of your photos that you talked about here! Isn't it fun to see how much progress you have made during this photography course. Enjoy taking photos in the future!
ReplyDeleteI think it is great that we were inspired by others to think outside the box and to take different photos than what we are used to. I loved the images of the girls.
